Ducks re-sign Brookbank

Defenseman Sheldon Brookbank has agreed to a new two year contract with the Anaheim Ducks. The new deal will give a total of $1.5 million, which means a cap hit of $0,750,000 per year. Brookbank was very solid all year. Most Ducks fans will agree that this is a very good signing by GM Bob Murray.

Comments from Brookbank here.

  1. i agree that this was a nice signing by the ducks however one cannot deny that the ducks need to severely upgrade their defense. They at least locked in Hiller, but with Beachemin leaving to Toronto and Pronger leaiving to Philly and possibly Neidermeyer retiring, you have your top 3 major ice-time logging defensemen gone. They need to use some of that extra cap money and seriously look for someone otherwise 3-4 goals per game against will become a tradition next season.
