Anaheim has had a tough year thus far and after the loss against Dallas the team find themselves last in the Western Conference. It doesn’t look too good for the future this season either, as Teemu Selanne broke his left hand in the game.
He was close to not participate in the game because of a stomach flu that had been bothering him for a couple of days. Now with all the facts, seems like he should’ve stayed home.
A injury like this one normally takes 4-6 weeks to recover from. However, Teemu will see a specialist in Orange County this weekend to determine if his hand will require surgery. Teemu got an assist on Koivu’s goal before stepping off the ice. He now has 21 points (14+7) in 27 games this season. Anaheim will play 17 games in their next six weeks.
